Meet the Team
Engineered by girls for girls.
Our team aims to spread awareness of the gender gap in engineering and the need for a variety of perspectives in order to find the best possible solutions.
Gaby is an entrepreneur and engineer with a passion for art and design. She was inspired to create Think Like a Girl because of her own experience and challenges she faced in pursuing engineering. Previously, she worked at Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS as an engineering intern in the User Experience, Academia Programs, and Technical Support departments. She studies Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University. Gaby aims to change the face of engineering and shatter the stereotypes that go with it.
CEO & Co-Founder
“I never want girls to feel like there are limitations on what they can achieve. Girls can love learning how cars work, math and science, and coding and also be artists, fashionistas, and dancers.”
Lexi currently is a student at Rowan University studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biological Sciences. Her passions include engineering education and outreach. During the summer, Lexi works as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center where she helps design and test satellites. One day, she hopes to help the next generation of astronauts live and work in space. In her free time, Lexi loves visiting National Parks and being outside. Lexi wants to inspire girls to learn about engineering and the world around them.
COO & Co-Founder
“I want to show young girls that engineering is everywhere within their lives while also inspiring them to find the innovation and passion within themselves.”
Julia graduated with a degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She held a position on the Brand Marketing team at Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS, working on marketing and outreach. Julia most recently worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Claim Specialist, where she developed her liability and risk analysis skills. Her passions include helping animals, traveling, and reading about new technology. Julia hopes to make engineering education available to anyone and show them how connected engineering is to the real world.
